October 8, 2026Paradise Private Hospital (PPH) is encouraging women to prioritise their health this Pinktober through its Twilight Clinic, which provides convenient access to women’s health consultations and breast and cervical cancer screening outside standard working hours.
Introduced in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the initiative aims to address a common barrier to preventive healthcare: finding time for medical appointments amid work, family and other commitments.
PPH Obstetrics and Gynaecology (O&G) specialist, Dr Grace Raire, said the Twilight Clinic
offers women greater flexibility to access screening and consultations at a time that suits their schedules.
“Women often put their health checks on hold because they are busy with work and family commitments. We want to create an opportunity for women to come in when they are free, whether after work or on a Saturday, and have their health checked,” Dr Raire said. “Early screening is important because it can help identify potential health concerns that may require further assessment and treatment. We encourage women to make time for themselves and take responsibility for their health.”
The Twilight Clinic is open to individual women and corporate groups. Employers are
encouraged to support their female employees by arranging appointments as part of workplace health and wellness initiatives. Individuals are also welcome.
The clinic operates on Wednesdays from 5:00pm to 7:00pm and Saturdays from 8:00am to 12:00 noon. According to Dr. Raire, a total of 6 patients have been seenso far.
In a further show of support for women’s health, PPH Director of Finance and Commercial and Co-owner, Mrs Janet Sios, has made mammogram screening available to female staff members over the age of 40 in recognition of Pinktober.
The initiative highlights the importance of prioritising women’s health both in the workplace and across the wider community.
Paradise Private Hospital encourages women to take advantage of the Pinktober initiative, schedule their health checks and take proactive steps towards protecting their health and wellbeing.
